Murphy’s Big Irish Party

Friday 1 February, Deventer celebrated for the 14th time “Murphy’s Irish Pub Festival” . In Ireland we have a saying “The morning after the night before” & with the amount of Irish personalities hanging around Deventer on Saturday 2 Feb. we have decided to stage “Murphy’s Big Irish Party” at the unique location of de Oude Maria Kerk in the heart of Deventer. For this occasion we have renamed de Oude Maria Kerk to “Murphy’s House” complete with a genuine Irish Pub atmoshere with Murphy’s Red & Stout flowing to beat the band. There will be typical Irish food available like Irish Stew & Irish Sausage sandwiches throughout the occasion. There will be information stands from Tourism Ireland, Irish club Nederland, The Claddagh, Jameson Whiskey & audio visual displays of everything Irish.
No Irish party is complete without Irish musicians and what a day we have in store for everyone. This party kicks off at 15.00hrs till midnight with a mighty Irish traditional session with most of the left over musicians from the night before, The John O’Gods,, Paul Martin & Jock the Box, Ken Parsons . There will also be a few surprises throughout the event.
The will be a small entrance fee of € 5,- So come on down and join the fun in genuine Irish authentic style.
